Be part of the IT dept in a exciting healthcare environment! Use your skills to implements and supports a business unit Exchange environment needs. Provide service to the users of the business unit, including the internal infrastructure administration, configuration, and support, as well as other general IT services.
Requirements:
4 or more years of system administration experience.
Applications / Operating Systems
- Windows 2000/XP Pro/Vista workstation
- Windows 2000/2003 Server
- Windows Active Directory Services and Group policy management
- Microsoft Exchange/Outlook
- Microsoft Office suite, Project and Visio (IT diagrams)
- Working or preferably knowledge of Red Hat LINUX
Basic networking skills:
- TCP/IP, DNS, Ethernet (Fast & GigE),
- Network topologies, etc.
- Familiarity with the some or all of the following:
. NFS, NIS, AFS, DNS, Sendmail, LDAP, MIT Kerberos, Security, Shell & Perl scripting
. Internet based ASP Application infrastructure including IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Load Balancing, DNS, BGP routing, etc.
. MS SQL enterprise database environments
Hardware / Other
- Dell, HP and IBM desktops and laptops
- Dell Power Edge, Compaq Proliant Servers
- HP Blade Server Environments
- Network Appliance NAS storage environments
Optional:
- Current CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Working knowledge of wide variety of e-mail clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc) and how they relate to MS Exchange (MAPI, MAPI over RPC, IMAP, POP, etc).
- Working knowledge of common Windows desktop applications such as IBM/Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest, MS Office components, antivirus programs, browsers. e-mail clients, etc.
Education:
- Technical certification program or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information technology, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
