Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the system engineering team, which includes 8 to 10 people currently.
  
• Provide planning, direction, and coordination for all technical activities
  
• Administers personnel functions including recruiting, hiring, and performance evaluations.
  
• Plan and establish engineering schedules
  
• Direct team activities to deliver new products and support existing customers
  
• Analyze technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects.
  
• Collaborate with various business stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle
  
• Ensure compliance of company policies, procedures, and engineering processes.
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience actively managing and developing system engineering staff
  
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to mentor and grow teams and individuals.
  
• Established track record of delivering highly scalable solutions
  
• Experience with object-oriented design and development principles, and working with industry standard engineering processes and methods.
  
• Enjoy and excel in a result oriented, deadline-driven environment.
  
• Demonstrated ability to be effective in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  
• Experience with procurement and vendor management.
  
• Professional software development experience in a distributed computing environment
  
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and audit requirements governing system controls
  
• Strong project management experience
  
• Operating system experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2000, 2003, 2008)
  
• Practical knowledge of Virtualization Technologies and the application of these technologies in a production environment.
  
• Production experience with Enterprise storage, Clustering technologies, Network devices and protocols and Relational Database Management Systems
